THAT WAS A PASSIVE-AGGRESSIVE POST IF EVER I SAW ONE!

Jackthunder--WTF?? You proclaim WWYGO "officially closed," and then recommend "keeping it up for a while" but you "don't really care"?

Is it closed or not? Was your post just a wake-up call in disguise? Do you care, or don't you? If you don't, why bother posting at all?

I for one am willing to take the bait and proclaim that I will step up my (admittedly pitiful) efforts to contribute more often if we give this one more go. Who's with me?

He was telling me (as site moderator) to keep it up rather than delete it immediately.

But, I would be willing to keep it going if we were able to get more regular particpation from everyone else.

But, Omnimedia doesn't HAVE to survive. We can live without it, so don't post out of obligation--do it because you can't NOT!

How would the group feel about exploring the passive aggressiveness issue? Maybe Flipper has a point there, and I'm hearing some defensiveness from Burb and Jack. Do you want to talk about it?

Maybe it should morph into WWYG Psychoanalytic Cultural Criticism.

Taking Sven's bait (?):

I didn't intend to be defensive, just explanatory.

I am as guilty as some regarding Omnimedia's falter. My original idea was to gratituously have two websites and act like a Ruper Murdoch style media big shot. But I did find it useful to differentiate certain posts "of a type" to this site rather that WWYG?!

Plus, it gave Jack a web-based forum for his own reviews, something he suggested initially and I wholeheartedly supported then and do today.

But, if it ain't workin' then que sera sera.

Thanks, Burb. Flipper, how do you FEEL about that?
I'm not hearing a rush of people to their keyboards. But I'm finding the process highly therapeutic.

Naturally I can't be a media big shot until I learn to spell Rupert.

Crap.

In the countless times that I have been to this site, I had never considered that the site was not maintained. Maybe it wasn't maintained as well as the members would want to, still, it's a great site. Leave it be. Omnimedia is not closed yet.
